THE MEETING (2007-2008)

We first met in 2008 through her sister Manmak. At that time, Manmak and I were in our second year at the university of Jos and just happened to be in the same department. One day, I and a few friend’s decided to pay Manmak a visit at home. we were all seated in the parlor gisting and suddenly, out walked this beauty in a white and black gown. (How can I forget?)

I have to admit that all of us (4) were attracted to her at first sight, Manmak as a big sister, even without declaring our intentions, violently warned against any thought’ towards her little sister. As a stubborn boy that I was, I kept coming back to visit Ringnan. We slowly became good friends and although I wanted more, she told me she was not interested in dating at the time. I still remember how I always went over to her house to help her study for her WAEC . I was preparing the way like John the Baptist did. #Laughs…

MY RETURN (2011-Date)

I left for school and came back in 2011. Our friendship picked up from where we left it and we became real close after a while. I then decided to ask her out again and she turned me down of course cos I was fat according to her. I knew there was something special about her so I still remained her good friend.

I guess she noticed after a while that I was different from the other guys who were also interested in her. She finally gave me a chance on the 13th of August 2013 while we were eating roasted fish in my house right before I had a presentation to make. We have been growing stronger since. We have had great memories, highs and lows, arguments, even breakups but something kept drawing us back together.

I proposed to her on the 24th of June 2017 during a weekend in Jos. It was a complete surprise with all her family, friends there to celebrate with her. It was at Rayfield resort on a windy afternoon. The space was decked out with candles that spelt WILL YOU MARRY ME and a petal of roses that led the way. Our Journey is about to begin and with God on our side we have the strength and grace to love each other, support each other, forgive each other, care for each other and always be there for each other.

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
